"Cowboys and Indians" have played an integral role in American History so it is not surprising to discover their prominence in the art of cigar lithography. "The Round-Up" depicts the life of the "American Cowboy"as it tells the story of a tired cattle herder reflecting upon the time shared with loved ones. Interestingly, "The Round-Up" is important to the genre not only because of its theme, but because it is a replacement for an earlier version of the same piece. Replacing, or improving upon, early versions was a practice common to the genre. The first "Round-Up" was not as intricate, nor did it reflect the same thought provoking response. The second version, the one you see here, easily struck a chord with the American consumer and has become one of the most popular cigar labels of its kind.
