The Seventh at Pebble Beach - Day, Danny

The 7th hole at Pebble Beach Golf Links, in Pebble Beach, California, is 107 yards of the most beautiful terrain in the world, as well as the most deceivingly difficult holes on an golf course. This par 3, the shortest on any U.S. Open course, requires a downhill shot onto a small green surrounded by bunkers, craggy rocks, and the crashing surf. What would normally be a simple wedge shot is exceedingly more difficult by the strong Pacific winds that are as unpredictable as club selection on any day. It is not unheard of for the pros to choose medium to low irons and punch the ball in order to negate the wind. Danny Day’s vision of the seventh hole in all its majesty is brought to life in this beautiful piece.

These limited editions prints were produced as off-set lithographs. First, the image is photomechanically reproduced from the original oil painting of the artist. Next, the images are printed as off-set lithographs on a high grade, acid - free paper. Upon successful completion of all printing, the artist personally inspects, hand signs and numbers each limited edition print. All printing plates utilized in producing the image are then destroyed.
