ONN interviews Brett Maly art expert from TV series Pawn Stars

TV Pawn Stars show host Rick Harrison says at the beginning of every show, “You never know what’s going to come through the door.”

The highly watched TV shows cast and real life owner’s of the Gold and Silver Pawn Shop in Las Vegas Nevada go to art expert, Brett Maly, for opinions on artwork.  Maly has steadily been their go to person and has worked with the cast for over 5 years he says.

Okmulgee may not have realized that Brett was visiting in the Okmulgee area this week.

Brett K. Maly has served as a Director for Art encounter for nearly 20-years and has a wide breadth of knowledge in all manner of fine art. Certified as an Appraiser through UC Irvine’s Certification Program in Fine and Decorative Arts, Mr. Maly has completed his certification in USPAP.

In addition to appraising fine art for collectors and institutions, Mr. Maly has appeared as an expert on radio and television, including a recurring role on the History Channel show “Pawn Stars”, where he has discussed everything from fine art valuation, to its collection and preservation.
