Description
Jack White painted the Par Four series because of his dedication to realism. He was known as one of the leading photo/ realistic portrait painters in North America. He had directed his skills toward landscapes. As he said, “It’s not sufficient to capture a likeness – You must reach deeper and delineate the character as well.” He further stated, “Each golf landscape has a special personality much the same as people.” Jack believed that once an artist learns the ingredients in making a painting he should be able to paint any subject with equal proficiency. Mr. White has done more than paint the hole of the golf course – looking at these portraits makes you want to tee off.
