Meet Your Instructors:

Brett K. Maly has served as a Director for Art encounter since 1996 and as its president since 2010.  Mr. Maly is a member in good standing with the American Society of Appraisers and, in addition to appraising artworks by some of the most important artists of the last 200 years for both private collectors and prestigious institutions, he frequently appears as an expert on radio and television (including a recurring role on the History Channel’s PAWN STARS) where he discusses art valuation, collection, and preservation.

Scott L. Ferguson has served as the Executive Director of Art encounter since 2013.  New York City born and raised, Mr. Ferguson grew-up in its burgeoning Pop and Street Art scenes, rubbing shoulders with the likes of Andy Warhol, Jean-Michel Basquiat, and Keith Haring. He graduated with a BFA from New York University and of the Sotheby’s Institute of Art in London, and has over forty-year’s experience as Director for many of the finest galleries and collections in New York and Las Vegas.
