Art encounter is pleased to present another important iconic image from the famous Cowboys and Indians suite.
Andy Warhol’s fascination with American culture is portrayed with this outstanding portrait of General George Armstrong Custer. This screen-print was created by Warhol in 1986, and is the last major series completed by the artist before his untimely death in 1987.
This screen-print in colors has been printed on Lenox Museum Board, signed and numbered 139 from the small edition of only 250 in pencil and published by Gaultney-Klineman Art, Inc, New York, with their ink stamp on the reverse.
This work has been framed and preserved using all conservation materials and is accompanied by a certificate of authenticity.
