Description
This amazing time capsule – a graffiti book from 1989 – contains two wonderful felt-tip pen line drawings by graffiti artist, Keith Haring. While in Chicago to paint a mural that still exists to this day, Keith, in typical form, met with local young artists to exchange ideas. During the visit, Haring posed for photographs and sat with one young enthusiastic artist to thumb through his graffiti book. While looking through the book, Keith found a page with marker stains from a privious drawing, which he used to create a composition of Dancing Figures. On another page, Haring drew one of his iconic images of a Snake Head. These two original line drawings – along with the book itself – are accompanied by the original photographs taken with the group of artists, a notarized letter, and an appraisal by Brett Maly.
